Pricing and plans

Compute

You pay per second while a job is RUNNING, at the hourly rate of the machine it landed on. Queueing, provisioning and result upload are free. Rates are shown by c3 list and on the status page; they differ by provider and change over time, and the job records the rate it was billed at.

When you submit, C3 reserves enough credit to cover the full time limit. When the job ends, the reserve is settled against actual use. If the job never ran, because it timed out in the queue or capacity was unavailable, the whole reserve is refunded. A job that would exceed your balance is refused with INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS.

Credit

New accounts start with £10 of credit.

c3 balance # credit, plan and storage usage
c3 topup 25 # add £25; £10 minimum, £10,000 maximum

c3 topup and the billing page both open Stripe checkout.

Plans

Plans set how many machines you can run at once. One running machine is one chip, GPU or CPU. Compute is billed the same on every plan.

PlanPriceSeatsConcurrent chips
Free£013
Pro£45 per month110
Team£185 per monthunlimited50

Submitting beyond your limit is refused with CONCURRENCY_LIMIT; the job is not queued. Team is not yet self-service. Ask C3 to enable it for your account.

c3 upgrade # interactive picker
c3 upgrade pro # opens checkout the first time
c3 upgrade free # cancel at the end of the billing period
c3 upgrade free -y # the same without confirmation, for scripts

Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current period. Running c3 upgrade <current plan> cancels a pending change. The subscription page does the same.

Storage

Datasets, uploaded workspaces and job artifacts count towards storage usage, measured on unique bytes after deduplication. c3 balance shows the current figure. No plan has a storage quota; storage is billed on usage.
